Student Support Officer
37 hours per week, term time (plus 5 training days)
Salary: Scale 4/5 (point 18 - 25), actual pay proportioned for term time working: £16,068-£19,679
We are looking to recruit a Student Support Officer from September 2018.
A Student Support Officer is attached to a Year group of 300 students and, working with the Head of Year and tutors, will be responsible for supporting the students’ emotional and social needs; for helping them to overcome barriers to learning and for liaising with parents and other agencies. Successful candidates will have experience of dealing with young people, be proactive, flexible individuals who have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and who are able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team in a sometimes pressurized environment.
