Hinchingbrooke School

Key Stage 3 - Curriculum

The curriculum in Years 7 and 8

Each school is required to deliver the National Curriculum, Religious Education and Sex and Relationship Education. The curriculum must provide opportunities to learn, to promote students’ moral, mental, physical and spiritual development and to prepare young people for the opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.

We want our students to have a broad and balanced education that maximises their opportunities to experience success and develops their confidence as life-long learners.

Our curriculum in Key Stage 3 aims to provide a seamless transition from the primary phase, and has been specifically organised around opportunities for students to develop five core skills – communication, investigation, analysis, creativity and evaluation.
