Post 14 Options Choices Evening - Tuesday 4th February
During this term Year 9 will be completing the most important single process of their schooling so far- Post 14 options choices. Students will be told about a number of events in school to provide them with the information they need to make informed choices. We are also keen to provide you with this information so that you can help them make their choices.
On 4th February there is a Key Stage 4 Options evening for all parents/carers of year 9 students. The evening starts at 7.00pm and is expected to finish by 9.00pm. Your son / daughter is also welcome to attend if they wish. However, there will be events in school to support their choices.
You will have the opportunity to attend workshops delivered by the option subjects. These workshops will last for 15 minutes and give you information about topics such as course structure and assessment which will help you to guide your child in their choices.
There will also be presentations by the Principal and other senior staff about the options process and the implications of particular choices. These presentations will be held at 7.00pm in the PAC and will be repeated at 8.00pm.
A copy of the workshop programme is attached so that you will be able to plan what sessions you would like to attend.
