KS4 - Curriculum
Students at Hinchingbrooke School make their course choices in Year 8. This provides students with a three-year Key Stage 4 in all non-core subjects. This means students have an extra year of learning time for a number of GCSEs and other Key Stage 4 qualifications that they study. More learning time provides the opportunity for topics to be studied in greater depth, and a regular opportunity for review and consolidation of learning too; hopefully, this leads to better outcomes for students at the end of their GCSE and other courses.
The table below shows how the 50 lessons per fortnight in Years 9, 10 and 11.
