Our new Vice Principal, Mr Walker, is setting up a Latin breakfast club for Year 9 students. This will run on Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:40am and will be held in Room 190.

I am writing to ask for your support regarding an exciting new initiative that we have introduced into the Year 7 maths curriculum.
You will appreciate that basic numeracy is a fundamental aspect of Key Stage 3 mathematics and that mastery of these skills is essential to students’ long term success at GCSE level. To encourage students to focus on improving their basic numeracy skills we have issued all of Year 7 with a Numeracy Passport which has been stuck into their planner
Hilary Mantel, Man Booker Prize winner and seminal historical fiction author, took time away from her busy publicity tour of her new book, ‘Bring up the Bodies,’ to visit Hinchingbrooke House on Wednesday. Mantel is a leading authority on Henry VIII’s advisor Thomas Cromwell whose nephew, Richard Cromwell was granted Hinchingbrooke House in 1537.
After the successes of the RE Rome trips, I am pleased to inform you of the RE department’s expansion through a proposed visit to Venice in the February half term 2013. The trip is open to any member of the Hinchingbrooke 6th Form.
Next year the school will be taking the ski trip (year 7 to 11) to Obertauern in Austria during February half term, leaving on Friday 8th February, returning on Saturday 16th February.
