PARKING AT HBK
“I would like to inform you of changes we plan to make for parking in the bus bays. As you know this is a difficult area to manage with some community users of the school in the evenings and weekends parking where they like giving no consideration to other but more importantly no consideration to emergency vehicles that may need to get access onto site.
We are planning to stop all parking in the bus bays from 1st January 2018 with the exception of blue badge holders, these areas will be clearly marked out. We will allow waiting only for pick up and drop off but vehicles MUST not be left unattended at any time.
The management of the parking in this area will be carried out by a third party and any tickets issued for failure to comply with the parking rules can’t be revoked by the school. We are sorry to have to do this but as stated earlier it is difficult to manage when some users of the schools facilities can’t be considerate when parking, Ian Oliver Site Services Manager”
We are pleased to announce that Hinchingbrooke School are now able to offer more parking spaces on site for our community customers.
Whilst the school will continue to offer “free” car parking in our current designated parking areas, to help ease congestion the playground areas closer to the sports facilities are now available.
For the safety of all and to protect the school’s facilities, vehicle numbers on site will be controlled by a new barrier system.
To cover the cost of this investment and help raise funds for future site improvements a small charge of £1 will be made to park in the new areas”
