Lizzi Coyle from the Faraday Institute came and spoke to our Science and RE students on Thursday October 16th. The Faraday Institute is based at St Edmund's College Cambridge, and specialises in interdisciplinary research and education in the not-always-seen-as-linked subjects of Science and Religion. Lizzi is herself is a graduate of Cambridge University in Natural Sciences, specialising in Evolutionary and Behavioural Biology, and was able to speak with considerable clarity and eloquence on the scientific side of the questions she was raising. Her talk was about the perceived incompatibility of science and religion,  arguing that the two ask fundamentally different questions.
