A2 Philosophy
The A2 Philosophy is a continuation of the AS Philosophy course offered at Hinchingbrooke School. It is offered and assessed by the AQA Examination Board, the link of which can be found below. -----------------

It is taught by two teachers, who teach the following modules:

- Nietszche (Set Text - 'Beyond Good and Evil') (A2 Module 5)
- Synoptic Unit (Strict exam conditioned essay) (A2 Module 6)
- Philosophy of Mind (A2 Module 4)

These areas of Philosophy are extremely demanding and require rigorous academic and personal discipline. As a department, we endeavour to encourage and enable our students to become good essay writers, effective researchers and accomplished academic critics of both philosophical and non-philosophical work.

Our desire is that each of our students is able to ascertain and concretise common key skills that are cross-transferable. Whether our students desire to study Philosophy at University or not, we believe that each student should be prepared for higher levels of research requirements, and that this is effectively part of our responsibility as teachers at this level.
