Hockey

With one of the largest single artificial turf areas in the region, Hinchingbrooke is an ideal venue to begin a long and rewarding association with hockey. All students will have the opportunity to play hockey during curriculum time and to continue to develop their knowledge skills and understanding of the game during extra-curricular activities.

We have strong links with the local clubs with students playing regularly in leagues and cup competitions for Huntingdon Ladies’ Hockey Club, St. Ives or St. Neots Hockey Clubs. The success of this hockey pathway can be measured in the numbers of students playing regularly for junior and senior club teams and in the number of Hinchingbrooke students being selected for Cambridgeshire county age group teams, Eastern region and National squads.
