Working for Hinchingbrooke

Hinchingbrooke is a comprehensive school and we are very proud of this. Whilst our intake is skewed towards students of higher ability (as shown by Key Stage 2 and 3 results as well as Midyis and Yellis data) and from more prosperous socio-economic backgrounds (as shown by our free school meals statistics), we do have students of all abilities and backgrounds. We are committed to being an inclusive school which treats all students as being of equal value.

Our focus at present lies very much in the area of teaching and learning. We believe that this must be at the heart of all our developmental work. This is certainly an exciting stage of Hinchingbrooke's development as we seek to fulfil the potential of each and every one of our students.

Professional Development
We are committed to the professional development of all staff. At present, we have staff involved in studying for higher degrees, the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) whilst thirty-three staff are participating in a leadership and management training course led by the LEA and paid for by the school. We are also involved actively in ITE provision, and we run a full NQT induction course. All of this is in addition to regular opportunities for staff to participate in subject, pastoral and other training opportunities.
