Aims of the Mathematics Department

The mathematics department seeks to achieve high standards in the teaching and learning of mathematics, challenging all pupils to realise their full potential irrespective of their level of ability, and giving them the confidence to use the mathematical skills that they have acquired. We aim to develop understanding of the numerical skills required for everyday life whilst striving to foster a sense of the beauty and power of the subject.
