Mr RG Fullard (RGF) - Head of History
Tutor for 11c3
Mr Fullard is a specialist in 19th-Century British Political and Social History and has a natural love of all things Chartist. He teaches all year groups, and at A-Level British 19th-century political history, Spain 1931 - 1975, Germany 1900 - 1945 and Russia from 1855 - 1964. He also teaches the GCSE Modern World course. In 2010 Mr Fullard gave one of the History Talks on British involvement in the Spanish Civil War. He organises the Russia trip for Year 13. Mr Fullard enjoys playing the guitar, and is generally rated as being incredibly amusing. |

Mr MA Fordham (MAF) - Second in History
Tutor for 9c2
Mr Fordham is interested in early history, particularly Britain in the first millennium and Classical Greece and Rome. He teaches all year groups. At GCSE he currently teaches GCSE Modern World History to Year 10 and GCSE Classical Civilisation to Year 11. At A-Level he teaches on the European Course, teaching Germany 1848 - 1890, Spain 1931 - 1975, Britain 1832 - 1885 and Russia 1855 - 1964. Last year Mr Fordham gave one of the History Talks on the creation of England in the early middle ages. Mr Fordham enjoys hillwalking and climbing mountains in his spare time.

Miss L Cassedy (LC)
Tutor for 8c1
Miss Cassedy specialises in 20th century history, especially in Central and Eastern Europe since 1945. She teaches KS3, GCSE and A-Level history. She currently teaches the GCSE in Classical Civilisation, and the Year 9 Ancient History preference. At A-Level she teaches "Crown, Parliament and Authority: England 1588-1629", and "Revolution, Republic and Restoration: England 1629-67". Last year Miss Cassedy gave one of the History Talks on Poland after the Second World War. Miss Cassedy likes music and reading. Miss Cassedy attended university with Prince William. |

Mr SJ Ellison (SJE) - Deputy Headteacher
Mr Ellison is interested in 19th and 20th century British history. He particularly enjoys political history, which is linked to his interest in current affairs. Whilst Mr Ellison has taught all year groups, his only History teaching this year is Year 10, where he is teaching the Modern World History GCSE. Mr Ellison gave a History Talk last year on Britain in the interwar years. Out of school, he enjoys swimming and walking as well as watching sport, particularly football and cricket.

Miss C Flaherty (CF) - Head of Cromwell House
Miss Flaherty is a specialist in medieval European history, particularly the period of the Crusades. She also has a wide-ranging knowledge on "the medieval outcast". She currently teaches all year groups, including the Ancient History Preference for Year 9. At GCSE she teaches the SHP course on the History of Medicine and the American West. For A-Level, Miss Flaherty teaches on the European Course, teaching Germany 1848-1890, Germany 1900 - 1945 and Russia 1855 - 1964. Miss Flaherty likes swimming, strong coffee and is famous for going to university with Prince William. |

Mrs RC Hart (RCH) - Student Voice Co-ordinator
Mrs Hart studied early modern and modern history, and is particularly interested in the history of modern philosophy. She teaches all year groups. At GCSE Mrs Hart teaches the GCSE Modern World Course. At A-Level she teaches the history of the Cold War, Civil Rights in America, and Russia from 1855 - 1864. Mrs Hart organises the Year 9 Battlefields Trip. In 2010 Mrs Hart gave one of the History Talks on America in the Cold War. Mrs Hart likes listening to good music and reading historcial fiction.

Mrs KM Tandy (KMT) - Transition Manager
Mrs Tandy specialises in 17th-century British History. She teaches all year groups, and at A-Level teaches "Crown, Authority and Parliament 1588 - 1629" and "Revolution, Restoration and Republic 1629 - 1667". Mrs Tandy teaches the GCSE SHP course on the History of Medicine and the American West. In the past she has also taught the English Civil War and the Witchcraft and Modern Russia coursework units. Mrs Tandy, Miss Cassedy and Mr Wheeley gave a talk on how people chose sides in the English Civil War. Mrs Tandy is a talented musician playing Piano and Cello, and singing. |

Mr TR Wheeley (TRW)
Sixth Form Tutor (SF14)
Mr Wheeley specialises in the Age of Revolutions in 18th and 19th century Europe. He teaches all year groups, and at A-Level teaches on both the World and European Courses. He teaches an array of courses at A-Level for both the European and World courses. Currently he teaches Germany 1848 - 1890, Germany 1900-1945, the Cold War, American Civil Rights, and Tudor England from 1588-1629. Mr Wheeley teaches the GCSE Modern World course. Mr Wheeley gave two History Talks in 2010 on how people chose sides in the English Civil War and the role of the army in British identity during the Napoleonic Wars. He has a personal interest in military history and living history. He also likes drinking fine wines. |

Mr PJ Winter (PJW)
Tutor for 11m2
Although normally found teaching RE and Philosophy, Mr Winter is a closet historian. His particular interests lie in the Tudor era, and especially the reign of Elizabeth I. Mr Winter's expertise lies in modern theology, so all questions about Catholics and Protestants can be directed towards him! Mr Winter teaches Year 7 and Year 8 History. |
