The aims and objectives of the Art department
We aim for students to build a broad and confident understanding of aesthetics and acquire visual language through direct observation.
Our objectives are to build up the confidence of students by instilling knowledge through taught skills and praise while enjoying every opportunity regardless of gender, ability or culture. We look for consistency in setting and assessing of projects, developing the skill to self assess and modify pupil's work. Through this we shall build a visually exciting and stimulating environment where pupil's can develop their skills safely and gain respect and a sensitivity for others.
We enjoy a high level of success at all levels and examples of work can be viewed through the above sites and Key stage 3 below.
