The pictures above show you a few new subjects that you will be doing in year 7. The year 7

curriculum is divided up like this:

Maths, English, Science are the CORE subjects. You will be together as a form for the beginning of year 7, and then you will be put into sets. Religious Education (RE) and Information Technology (IT) are also core subjects. IT is taught in mixed ability / form groups, and RE is taught to you in your form.

History, Geography, Art, Design Technology (DT), Music, Drama, German / French, Personal Development (PD) are the FOUNDATION subjects and are taught in mixed ability groups.

Physical Education (PE) is very important at Hinchingbrooke because we are a specialist sports status. You will be doing lots of new and exciting types of PE during your time here. Sailing, Archery, Gymnastics, Dance, Rugby and Swimming are just some of the activities.            

There are 6 lessons every day. The timings are like this:

School ends at 3.30pm and starts officially at 8.45am. However, in the morning facilities (PAC, Learning Support etc) are open from 8.25am. After school extra curricular clubs run in PE, music, science and drama.
