Homework Help!

Another big worry is homework. The bad news first. Yes, you will get homework. However, homework is set to help you improve your understanding and that means you will find school more enjoyable.

Homework can be written work, research, revision, thinking or practical.

In year 7 each homework should take about 20 minutes to complete, although you are welcome to spend longer.

You will not get homework every night, and you will not get homework every lesson.

Detentions (break or lunch) will be given if you continually forget to do homework.

You will have a planner (like a diary) where homework can be recorded. It is checked by your form tutor every Monday and your parent(s) / carers must sign it. If it is used properly it will help you to organise yourselves and avoid detention!

You can also use Learning Support rooms at break or lunch times if you need somewhere quiet or need some help.
