What have Year 7 been up to this week?

The Christmas holidays will soon be upon us so this week year 7 have been getting in the festive spirit by designing baubles and dressing up for our end of term party. After a tremendously successful first term I sincerely hope all year 7 students have a lovely Christmas break - they've certainly earned it!

book Year 7 Homework book
Homework provides you with the opportunity to take control of your own learning. Homework consolidates your learning and makes you more accountable for your academic progress. Completing homework also prepares you for further study and helps you to improve your time-management and organisational skills.
EVERY WEEK EVERY FORTNIGHT OCCASIONALLY

30 MINUTES OF ENGLISH, MATHS, SCIENCE and LANGUAGES HOMEWORK

(2 hours IN TOTAL)

At the start of each half term pupils will be given a booklet for each of these subjects containing details of the homework tasks to be completed across that half term

ONE 2-3 HOUR PROJECT

These projects provide the opportunity for pupils to extend their learning in a given subject. The projects will be broken down in to individual tasks and talked through in the lesson

NB: Not all Carousel subjects will set homework

Teachers may occasionally set additional homework tasks, but this will not exceed 15 minutes worth of work. The setting of these additional tasks should be limited as far as possible

Once a term, pupils will need to complete a research task as part of their Design and Technology project
