AS is suitable for students either beginning business for the first time or those students who have studied it GCSE level.

The AS course consists of two units;

• F291: Introduction to Business; F291 gives students a solid platform in understanding Business and is assessed by unseen case study exam.  This is worth 40 % of the AS qualification
• F292: Business Functions; F292 looks at the four functions of business and provides depth to the students' understanding. It is assessed by an exam on a pre-released case study.  This is worth 60 % of the AS qualification
